BenjamГn concludes that He wasn't giving enough attention to his son, which explains his recent conduct. While Mencia attempts to calm the crowd, BenjamГn angrily yells at Patrick for generating a commotion. In episode 4 ,Patrick goes to the Lake Club's Charity Auction, only to accidentally destroy an expensive sculpture. After hearing those words, it sends Patrick down into a self destructive depression. But he tries his best to tell Patrick that they are better off as friends than as lovers. While his father still holds somewhat of tight reign over the school, Patrick starts a friendship with new student, Ivan and it's known right away that Patrick has a crush on Ivan, and Ivan knows that as well. BenjamГn learns about it from the students' online posts and comes at the party only to be thrown up on by an inebriated Patrick. Patrick lashes out at his father for imposing stricter rules at school and at home by throwing a hedonistic party at a local nightclub where everyone is high on any drugs they can get their hands on. A heart-to-heart conversation eventually brings the family together and they start decorating the house.ДЄ month after Ari's attack, it's clear that BenjamГn and Patrick's father-son bond is shaky. Snapping back to reality, Patrick abruptly leaves the party and rushes back to his house, only to find MencГa in her bedroom safe and sound. In addition, he has visions of the future in which MencГa commits suicide in a bathtub by popping a fatal doses of pills, then seeing MencГa's funeral after noticing himself, BenjamГn and Ari wearing black.

Patrick has side hook ups with both Ander and Omar and starts to create drama for the couple. Omar agrees and the three hook up- but it complicates things. Ander seemed interested and eventually the attraction led Ander to ask his boyfriend, Omar, if he'd be interested in a three way with Patrick. Immediately, he took a liking to Ander and started to flirt with him. Patrick was a new student at Las Encinas after he moved with his father, the new principal at the school.
